About
With creativity I like to blend contemporary with classical art in interest to keeping things timeless. Focusing on emotions to help feelings & ideas come to life. Every artwork is an opportunity for existence, something meaningful. I treat my brushes like portals to a new world.
Process
Usually the process starts with me gathering inspirations from my life. My favorite mediums to sketch out ideas in are ink and charcoal. I also like to use different materials to sketch on, whether that’s a certain fabric or cardboard. I then create an artwork from all the experiments.
Materials
I like my artworks to last, so I use materials such as archival paper and canvas. I look for the best mediums to pair it with from ink, charcoal to oil. That is a challenge part for me since I live in Oman but I make sure to order high quality materials.
Commissions
I take commissions for the larger artworks that roughly cost $500 upwards. Since I do everything myself it may take longer to deliver. maryam.alawi@outlook.com to start a conversation.
Shipping and care
Works ships rolled from Muscat. Shipping is quoted after you order, so it is never overcharged.
How a buyer should look after the work: out of direct sun, framed behind glass or left bare, rolled canvas should be unrolled carefully and taken to a local frames shop to frame and then to hung.
