Maryam Al Alawi is an interdisciplinary artist working with drawings and paintings of contemporary art, with a background in Creative Industries. The work show a pull toward the experimental of contemporary art and love for the Old Masters craft.

Outside the studio, I sketch landscapes, sculptures and I am drawn to environments that give me new material to work from, whether that’s a museum or a park. I see myself as someone still very much in development, chasing the kind of inspiration that pushes the scale and ambition of my work further.
